I <3 NY style

So I just recently got back from a few days in New York City with my family. I hadn't visited since I started attending school in Boston, so it was interesting to compare the two cities. Boston just seems so much smaller and more homey now! I'm not sure I could ever live in New York, it's just so overwhelming. However if I had to choose a neighborhood to live in it would definitely be the East Village! It was wonderful there.

Anyhow, other than size, Boston and New York differ in one other was that was quite apparent to me: style. Boston is super laidback New England - nothing fancy, hardly any designer, and mainly undone. But New York! It seems everyone I passed on the street, no matter how young, old, beautiful, or ugly, put thought into their appearance. They all had a unique style and presence that truly lacks in Bostonians. I got so much inspiration from all the girls on the street, from the Upper East Side-designer divas to the ghetto fabulous savvy, I wanted to look like them all.

Throughout it's diversity however, most trendy New Yorkers stuck to a similar uniform during the hot July weekdays.
